A one of a kind batik fabric from Nigeria. The unique design is created by stencilling motifs in starch before the fabric is dyed in blue. The fabric is handmade in Abeokuta in Ogun State, Nigeria.
The fabric is 46 inches wide and 2.4 yards long, approximately 2.2 metres. As I picked this up from the market, I do not know what fabric was used. It is very light to the touch.
PLEASE NOTE: Natural dyes were used to create this fabric and therefore the colour is not fast and does run when washed. Wash separately or with dark colours in cold water.
