A vibrant colourway for this very popular Ankara print. It has several names from country to country such as the Speedbird, Hirondelle, ‘Air Afrique’ and ‘Money Has Wings’. Money has wings because if you are not careful it will fly away! The print design has been around for a long time and this is just one of the many colour combinations available.

A fat quarter is a small piece of fabric, a quarter of a yard which is great for smaller sewing projects as an alternative to buying a whole yard or metre of fabric. If you order more than one, you will receive each cut piece as a fat quarter. To get an idea of the scale of the patterns, a tape rule is shown in the last image with measurements in inches.
