FOLKWEAR- Walking Skirt

2 in stock

From the Victorian, Edwardian, 1800s to 1900s

As the Victorian age drew to a close at the beginning of the 20th century and the Edwardian age dawned, women entered the arenas of sports and the professions. This was the skirt they wore, because it was comfortable and unencumbered by bustles and hoops. It is full-length or street-length and has five gores.

Wouldn’t this look amazing in shweshwe or a lovely colourful print.

This is a paper pattern and includes instructions for decorative cutwork embroidery (Broderie Anglaise). The pattern is a multi-size pattern from SMALL to 3XL.

Medium to heavyweight cottons and blends, linen, silk, lightweight wool, thin wale corduroy, or velvet.
